The last year’s flagship model – Galaxy S9 from Samsung has started receiving Security patch update for the month of February. This update will bring plenty of new options which were missing from the stable Android Pie builds. The update for the One UI’s Night mode feature lets its user schedule for Night mode from the display settings easily without having to choose the option every time at the nights.
Furthermore, the update brings improvements to the Wi-Fi stability to fix the issues with the Wi-Fi range on Android Pie for the 5GHz networks. There are other noticeable improvements to the phones NFC, email and gestures. Since this is an official update from Samsung we might see the update rolling out to its Galaxy Note 9 and other supported devices from Samsung in the coming days.
The update comes with the software version G960FXXU2CSB3 and G965FXXU2CSB3 for S9 and its sibling S9+ respectively. The size of the update is 350MB which is rolled out via OTA update in Germany as of now and should be available globally soon. If you have not received the update yet, go to the setting of the phone and check for the update manually from the system updates section.
If the update is available, download it and start the installation. Make sure the device has enough batter to complete the update. Have you received the update yet? If yes, what are the changes you have observed? Comment in the section below and stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more news and updates.
