Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S10 5G Leaked Press Render Reveals Launch Date

At the MWC 2019, we have seen quite a few 5G smartphones getting launched even before the roll out of 5G connectivity. As of now, the 5G mobile connectivity is getting rolled out in the US and South Korea. In the US, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will be exclusive to Verizon Wireless. Verizon is already selling the 5G Moto Mod for the Moto Z3 to access its 5G network. It will be launching its 5G Ultra Wideband service in Chicago and Minneapolis on April 11th.

The company also confirmed to expand its 5G network to over 30 markets across US in the coming months. Now, the leaked press render of the Verizon branded Galaxy S10 5G hints the device to make its debut on May 16th. Apart from Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Verizon will also sell the 5G supported LG V50 ThinQ. Talking about the Galaxy S10 5G, it sports the largest display and biggest battery we have ever seen on a Galaxy S device.

It comes with a 6.7-inch curved Dynamic AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Just like the other Galaxy S10 devices, the Galaxy S10 5G(in the US) also comes powered by 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. It packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. However, there is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion on this device. The device will be backed by a 4,500mAh non-removable battery and supports 25W Super Fast Charging.

It also supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and can be used for charging other Wireless charging supported devices using the Wireless PowerShare feature. On the rear, the Galaxy S10 5G comes with quad camera setup featuring 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, 12MP wide-angle sensor with variable aperture (f/1.5-F/2.4), 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 3D depth sensor. There is a 10MP dual pixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 3D depth sensor.

The dedicated 3D sensor on the front and rear can be used for Video Live focus and Quick Measure. It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie-based One UI out of the box. The Galaxy S10 5G also missed out the dual SIM support. It measures 162.6 x 77.1 x 7.94 mm and weighs 198 grams. It comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and supports 3D face unlock.
