Nokia is known for its smartphones, not for its smart TVs. Today, it looks like the company is trying to change that as it releases its first-ever smart TV in India.
Retailing for Rs. 70,999 (~$997) on Flipkart, it looks like the device will be available for a massive 40% discount when it launches December 10 — Rs. 40,999 (~$590).
The TV is sleek and modern, featuring an integrated JBL soundbar and Android TV under the hood. The display is a 55-inch 3,840 x 2,160 4K panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, and a 178-degree viewing angle. It uses an ADS panel, which is quite similar to IPS displays.

To power that all, this Nokia smart TV comes with the Cortex-A53 quad-core CPU, Mali-450 GPU, 2.25GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi. For ports, you get three HDMI ports and two standard USB ports.
Since the TV isn’t available yet, we haven’t taken it for a spin. Though, we’re really excited to see what Nokia brings to the table with this device. Hopefully, this isn’t the only smart TV from Nokia, and we will see other offerings available outside of India.
