Google Photos update adds ability to search for text in your pictures

Google announced earlier today that it's improving the Lens feature in the Photos app with a new ability that will allow users to search for text in images. First discovered by a Google Photos users, the information was confirmed on the app's official Twitter account.

Although Google has made it easier for Photos users to search by various criteria like objects, events, people, and pets, the option to look for text in images saved in the cloud wasn't available to users.
