Redmi has been teasing its Redmi K20 for several weeks now, but the company has finally revealed all at a launch event in China. And we’ve actually got two phones, namely the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.
Starting with the Redmi K20 Pro, it offers a rather fetching glass back, as well as a full-screen 6.39-inch OLED display (2,340 x 1,080) with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The full-screen design is enabled thanks to a 20MP pop-up camera, with Redmi claiming it pops up in 0.8 seconds. In a nice touch, Redmi adds that you can also choose from one of six pop-up sounds.
It wouldn’t be a flagship without impressive core specs, but the brand indeed confirmed a Snapdragon 855 chipset and a 4,000mAh battery with 27 watt fast charging. Other notable features include Game Turbo 2.0, NFC support, and a 3.5mm earphone port.
Switching to the triple rear camera setup, we already know that the main shooter is a 48MP camera (Sony IMX586, f/1.75). But the firm has also confirmed an 8MP 2x telephoto sensor (f/2.4 ) as well as a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide camera (124.8 degree field of view).
The Redmi K20 Pro will be available in red and blue gradient colorways, as well as a “carbon fiber black” option. Redmi is also selling a gamepad attachment for 179 yuan (~$26), attaching to the left side of the device.
This is a breaking story. More to follow…
