With Redmi set to announce its Redmi K20 in less than a week, the Xiaomi sub-brand has teased more details of its upcoming flagship on Weibo.
According to the teasers, the Redmi K20 features a 4,000mAh battery. A listing on the Compulsory Certification of China reportedly revealed that the regular K20 features 18W fast charging, while a second version of the phone features 27W fast charging.
Elsewhere, Redmi also teased an in-display fingerprint sensor for the Redmi K20. It’s a seventh-generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor that features a 15-percent larger scanning area and is 10-percent faster at unlocking relative to the previous generation.
The seventh-generation scanner is also 30-percent more successful at unlocking under direct light and low temperature compared to the sixth-generation.
With a large battery and in-display fingerprint sensor, the Redmi K20 is shaping up to be a compelling OnePlus 7 Pro competitor. Confirmed features include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 48MP primary camera, and a pop-up selfie camera.
Thanks to the motorized selfie camera, the Redmi K20 also reportedly features a notch-less display. We’ll learn much more about the phone May 28, when Redmi will announce the Redmi K20.
