Xiaomi Mi 9 Officially Confirmed to Launch on February 20

After sharing an image on its Weibo account about its important announcement at 10:00 AM, toady Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be hosting a launch event on 20th February to launch its flagship smartphone in China. Xiaomi Mi 9 will be next flagship device of the company but nothing about the pricing and global availability of it has been known as of now. It is said to be coming with triple rear cameras along with LED flash which are placed vertically.

Furthermore, the executives from the company have claimed that the handset will not just be powerful in terms of the performance but it is also said to be the best-looking smartphone from the company till date. According to previous leaks, the Mi 9 will be coming with Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor and also expected to support 27W fast charging considering the 3c certification it received recently.

The device was recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website with a single-core score on 3159 points and a multi-core score of 11174 points. The Mi 9 will be coming out of the box with Android 9 Pie Operating system based on the companies UI and will also get further updates when available. Moreover, the device is said to be featuring a big 6.4-inch display along with 48MP main camera sensor and a 12MP + 3DToF lens.

The handset might also feature a 24MP selfie camera and could get an in-display fingerprint sensor. The battery used might be 3,500mAh, although nothing is confirmed about the same as of now. We need to few more days for the company to confirm the specs officially at the launch event. Xiaomi is also been working on a Foldable Smartphone which is expected to come with Double foldable design, which should be known when the device gets unveiled.
