LG has been a pioneer in bringing new technologies through their products, especially with their electronics like Smart TVs and more particularly with their Smartphones. LG is all set to launch its next flagship smartphone – the LG G8 ThinQ at MWC Barcelona in a couple of weeks from now.
What’s special with this LG G8 ThinQ, Apart from the flagship specifications? Well, the company has confirmed that the LG G8 ThinQ will be featuring Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology, which is meant to utilize the smartphone’s OLED display as an audio amplifier. This tech developed by LG, the CSO adapts the LG G8 ThinQ’s display as a diaphragm, which essentially vibrates the entire surface of the display to generate more sound. This sound delivered with the help of CSO is said to have better sound quality and more clarity while it’s being played.
Further, the users can utilize this CSO paired with the conventional speaker at the bottom of the G8 ThinQ to create a 2-channel audio setup, which also promises to deliver stereo performance alongside the impressive bass. Furthermore, the LG G8 ThinQ is said to be feature DTS:X 3D Surround Sound that claims to deliver 7.1-channel sound effect with or without earphones. The G8 is also supposed to have Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) for high quality audio streaming and the Boombox Speaker as well.
It is interesting to see what more the LG has to offer with the G8 ThinQ at MWC 2019. As for the specifications, the LG G8 would be featuring an AMOLED display, which is supposedly the first G-series phone to make the shift from LCD. Earlier reports have also suggested that the G8 ThinQ would be equipped with the latest Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC as well.
