Verizon came under (metaphorical) fire back in August for what the carrier described as a “customer support mistake”, making it that much harder for emergency personnel to fight literal wildfires in California.
But after already apologizing for the unfortunate throttling incident and vowing to lift all data consumption restrictions on “public safety” customers in disastrous events, Big Red is going one step further in showing its appreciation to first responders nationwide.
