Samsung had one more thing to unveil at its Unpacked event in New York earlier today after confirming everything we already knew about the Galaxy Note 9, taking the wraps off a new smartwatch with a simplified name, and presenting teasing its long overdue Bixby-controlled answer to Apple’s HomePod.
The partnership announcement that wrapped up the press conference was obviously not as exciting as the headlining Note 9 presentation (with the S Pen info and all that), but it’s still a pretty big deal, further positioning Samsung as a direct “ecosystem” rival for Apple.
