OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition: Everything you want to know

OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition

There’s a new OnePlus, and so there’s a new limited-edition OnePlus 6 as well. Like the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition, OnePlus fans in India would have access to a special edition of the smartphone in partnership with Marvel.

The OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is inspired by the latest superhero saga – Avengers: Infinity War – and packs in top-of-the-line specifications because, well, ‘Infinite Power. In Your Hands.’.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition was a culmination of our community’s request. The response we received to this limited edition was unprecedented. This time around, we wanted to do something bigger and better and what better way to do it than with the biggest movie franchises of all time. We are very proud to be able to give our community something unique again this year and are very happy to collaborate with Marvel Studios for the OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition.

Design

OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition

OnePlus hasn’t really altered the design language we’ve seen on the OnePlus 6 but has introduced subtle changes to commemorate the Marvel universe. The back of the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is inspired by the Karbon fiber case pattern infused into a beautiful glass design.

The Avengers logo and the golden accent alert slider take inspiration from the powerful gauntlet honed by mighty Thanos. If you’re asking Thanos, who? This phone is probably not for you. 😊

Hardware

Well, apart from the cosmetic changes in the design, the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition is a OnePlus 6 at heart.

Editor's Pick

It’s got the same RAM as the higher spec’d OnePlus 6 (8GB), but packs in 256GB internal storage, the most space offered in any variant. This special edition or otherwise, the OnePlus 6 is a solid smartphone and has a well-rounded appeal for a broad audience.

Software

Again, like the OnePlus 6, the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition runs Android 8.1 with OxygenOS on top.

But of course, there’s enough Avengers for you. There are limited-edition Avengers wallpapers and an exclusive golden Avengers: Infinity Wars theme.

In The Box

The limited-edition smartphone comes in special packaging, too. There’s a nicely designed Avengers-themed box which includes the OnePlus 6, a Dash charger, and the OnePlus signature red USB Type-C cable.

There’s also a special Ironman phone case which comes bundled with the device, because well, every superhero needs a suit. It looks like a strong bumper that can take a fall easily but is also a tad big and adds quite an extra bit to the size of the phone – both in width and thickness. Yet, if you’re an Ironman fan, it looks really good. It is much better than the Kylo Ren case that came with the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition that was unwieldy for most users.

There’s also an Infinity Medal in the box – one of the six 6 different types of Infinity Medals out there. You can buy/exchange/trade the other Infinity Medals from other people to enter in a contest OnePlus is running.
